Cwm Taf Morgannwg have a vacancy within the Estates Department for a Maintenance Supervisor. You will manage a busy, multi-skilled engineering and building workforce, taking responsibility for all planned preventative and reactive maintenance for both building and engineering disciplines.
In doing so, you will help ensure a safe, comfortable enivoronment for our patients, visitors and staff.
With a qualification/apprenticeship in an engineering discipline and significant subsequent experience, you will have a key role in the provision of our maintenance services.
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking risk assessments and safe systems of work for all staff and areas under their control, also annual PDR's and will be expected to work at various bases as the workload demands.
They will be required to have undertaken and successfully completed an apprenticeship in an engineering discipline with sufficient post apprenticeship experience preferably in a hospital/health care environment.
Ensure compliance with all HTM's and Health & Safety requirements.
Coordinate, plan, instigate, allocate and monitor the Estates Planned Preventative Maintenance System together with coordinating the reactive maintenance of the department.
You will be responsible for authorising the procurement and purchase of parts, materials and services in relation to the role.
There will be a requirement to undertake maintenance audits and surveys on the estates plant equipment and buildings to produce reports for future capital applications in relationship to their "life expectancy" and proposed replacement dates.
Providing technical advice, training and support where necessary.

The post holder will be responsible for the undertaking of maintenance repairs, minor works and planned preventative maintenance. Supervision of a multidisciplinary team of Engineering and Building craftsmen and semi skilled staff and contract staff to ensure compliance with the Health Boards standards, policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
