We have an exciting opportunity available at the Royal Cornwall Hospital for a Registered Nurse to join our committed team on the Trauma Unit. The Trauma Unit is a 30 bedded trauma and orthopaedic unit, which cares for patients that pre-operative and post-operative; the Trauma Unit has a fantastic MDT approach and a wide variety of patients.
We are seeking applications from nurses who have the ability and determination to learn and to gain new skills and competencies and who are motivated to develop the highest standards of care and who are committed to continuous improvement.
Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and have a good knowledge and understanding of clinical standards. You must be able to work on your own initiative and also be an excellent team player whilst being prepared to develop as an individual and support others to develop.
To work as a skilled member of the nursing team.
To provide a high standard of compassionate patient centred care.
To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team
To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Ward Sister / Charge Nurse or Clinical Matron.
