Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly specialised Cardiac Physiologist (Echo) to join the team at Worcester Royal Hospital. The successful candidate will perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to support complex echo services such as dobutamine stress echocardiograms (DSE) and transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE). The role will also involve collaborating with the head of department on service development, providing training and support for junior staff, and ensuring quality control through audits.

In addition to performing cardiac ultrasound examinations to diagnose abnormalities, the position may include participation in the invasive Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, leading Technician Led Cardiac Exercise Tolerance tests (ETT), and preparing and analyzing 24-hour ambulatory ECG recorders. The department offers a supportive environment with excellent training and development opportunities, and the role may require providing physiologist support as part of a 7-day service, including occasional weekend work.
