The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Band 8A Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for its ARCH Addictions service in Uxbridge. The role is open to newly qualified applicants or those currently at Band 7 looking to develop their careers. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with professionals such as psychiatrists, mental health nurses, and recovery workers, to provide comprehensive health care for individuals facing drug, alcohol, and other addiction challenges, often accompanied by trauma and complex mood disorders.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions (such as MI, DBT, and CBT), and supervising both qualified and trainee psychology staff. Although experience with addiction clients is beneficial, tailored training will be provided to equip the candidate for effective work with this population. Regular supervision and support will be available from senior team members and a Professional Lead for Addictions.
