The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) role in Crawley with West Sussex County Council involves working within the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to provide mental health support to children and young people in educational settings and the community. Candidates must hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Mental Health and have experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions. The job includes conducting mental health assessments, including risk assessments, and implementing evidence-informed interventions, while managing a caseload effectively.

The successful applicant will collaborate with various mental health professionals to support the development of school-wide approaches to emotional wellbeing and mental health. This position requires strong communication skills, as it involves engaging directly with children, young people, and their families. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and prior experience working in educational settings with children and young people are also essential qualifications for this role.
