Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare Trust are currently searching for a talented Immunisation Nurse to support their fantastic Immunisations team as a member of the School Age Vaccination Service (SAV) for Sutton & Merton, to support the safe delivery and triage of the nasal flu and other vaccination programmes within the SAV teams.
- The main duties of a Registered Immunisations Nurse include,being able to assess young people and understand the pre-requisites of giving an immunisation, understanding the contra-indications, the aftercare and the relevant advice to give to the young person.
- Contributeto the identification and protection of children at risk of abuse and act in accordance with the local Safeguarding Childrens Board guidelines.
- Ensure that all statutory & mandatory training is kept up to date. This includes CPR,Anaphylaxis and Immunisation training.
- To maintain the necessary communication and liaison with all members of other nursing disciplines and allied professions.
- Provide support, mentorship, guidance and supervision to junior and nonqualified staff members of the School Nursing service.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- The role may involve travel to different locations to provide immunisation clinics in schools, community centres, and other settings.
