Bromley Healthcare CIC is seeking a passionate Health Visitor for a full-time or part-time position in Bromley, with an annual salary between £42,939 and £50,697 (including HCAS). The role involves leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, conducting ecological assessments to identify health needs, and collaborating with families to create personalized care plans. Health Visitors will also oversee the delegation of care tasks to Community Nursery Nurses and Staff Nurses, engage in service improvement initiatives, and work with various healthcare providers to ensure a seamless service delivery for clients and communities.

In this role, the Health Visitor will contribute to the development and implementation of health programs, participate in clinical supervision, and assist in assessing local health needs while respecting Bromley Healthcare's Equality and Diversity policy. The successful candidate will actively engage in their own professional development, adhere to clinical governance standards, and participate in quality improvement activities. Interviews for this position will take place the week beginning November 18th.

Bromley Healthcare are seeking a Health Visitor who is keen to develop their leadership skills and sphere of influence and is keen to shape the future of Public Health Nursing in Bromley.

We are invested in the development of Health Visiting and School Nursing and this is underpinned by our Public Health Nursing strategy and training programme for all roles within the PHN teams.

All Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses have corporate membership with the Institute of Health Visiting (iHV) which offers a wealth of professional training programmes and resources to support excellent practice.

Work as part of an integrated team and lead on the delivery of the healthy child programme

Identify health needs through an ecological assessment and in partnership with families, agree personalised plans to address the needs.

Delegate aspects of care to the Community Nursery Nurses and Staff Nurses within the skill mix team.

Engage and participate in service improvement.

Continuously learn to develop your own skills and those of others.

Work in partnership with clients and other partners, assess healthcare needs to develop and evaluate programmes to address the health needs of the population

Work in collaboration with other health care and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services for clients and communities

About us

Support collecting data to inform the performance management framework for the service ensuring team members are completing timely and accurate data collection via EMIS.

To liaise with the School Health Service, with particular reference to vulnerable children, their families and children with special needs.

To participate in regular clinical supervision.

To plan and record individual programmes of care for children and families.

To assist in the identification of local health needs and ensure the optimum use of resources.

Delegate work to Community Nursery Nurses that is within the sphere of competence of the skill mix and assist in training.

The post holder must carry out their responsibilities with due regard to Bromley Healthcares Equality and Diversity policy. To participate in an annual appraisal of their work where objectives will be set. The post holder will be expected to undertake any training or development as identified at appraisal.

All staff are responsible for identifying areas within their service which do not meet Clinical Governance quality standards.

All staff are expected to participate in Clinical Governance actions to achieve Clinical Governance within their service.

All clinicians are expected to participate in quality improvement activities including clinical audit programmes.
