The position requires strong confidentiality, excellent telephone communication, attention to detail, and solid secretarial skills. The Medical Secretary will primarily work at the Shelford site but may need to cover other locations occasionally, with an expected workload of 35 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling patient appointments using the ERS system.
- Handling inquiries from hospitals and patients regarding their care.
- Audio and copy typing of referral letters, reports, and correspondence for doctors and other practice staff.
- Supporting the administrative team to ensure high-quality service delivery to patients and fellow staff.
