The Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive Consultant in Anaesthesia to join their team at the Liverpool University and Broadgreen Hospital site. This role involves delivering anaesthetic care across various specialties including elective cancer, orthopaedic, trauma, and emergency services, while contributing to the teaching and training of medical students and postgraduate trainees. The position is part of a newly merged organisation, offering opportunities for career development and collaboration across different areas of the trust.

The successful applicant will participate in the on-call rota and has the option to engage in additional clinical sessions, aiming for an 11th Programmed Activity (PA) if desired. Initially, the role includes 1.5 core Supporting Professional Activities (SPA), with the possibility of increasing this to 2.5 SPA based on additional responsibilities. The candidate will also be involved in both pre- and post-operative care, and play a vital part in supporting the management to enhance services within the newly built hospital, which aims to benefit the community in Liverpool.
