The Infectious Diseases Medical Secretary position at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers a dynamic role for an experienced candidate based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including diary management, audio typing letters for the clinical team, and managing clinic templates. Essential duties involve liaising with patients, GPs, and other trusts through phone and email, while ensuring adherence to patient pathways and timely follow-ups.

In addition to secretarial support, the role requires organizing meetings, preparing presentations, and managing communications regarding consultant leave and patient admissions. The candidate will be expected to maintain accurate records in the PAS system, oversee waiting lists, and assist in the coordination of theatre lists. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adherence to strict guidelines are essential for success in this position.
