An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Orthopaedic Therapy Team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in elective and trauma orthopaedic rehabilitation, and will actively seek opportunities to support the development of the service. The trust is committed to the professional development of staff, with clinical supervision and peer development being a core element of this role. The provision of clinical education for students from surrounding universities will be expected.
The Orthopaedic Physiotherapist will be a key role across a seven day service and there are opportunities to work with in-patients, community outreach and outpatients. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic and motivated with an emphasis in clinical, communication, organisational and time management skills, who will support the driving force to change and innovative service development within our Orthopaedic Therapy service.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Ormskirk Hospital however will have opportunity to work within our multi-specialty areas.

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to be involved in, and contribute to service developments and plans. They will be integral to the MDT, and work with colleagues to facilitate safe, seamless discharge through assessment, treatment and discharge planning with community colleagues in the Orthopaedic services. The successful candidate will be part of the respiratory on call and weekend rota, and will be given the appropriate training and support prior to joining it.

Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week and participation in the on-call and weekend respiratory service.
