The Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response Officer role at NHS Suffolk and North East Essex ICB involves providing specialized emergency planning and business continuity management services. The post holder will be an integral member of the EPRR team, supporting the Integrated Care Board (ICB) in its emergency response leadership and assurance responsibilities. This includes ensuring that NHS hospitals and health services can effectively coordinate their responses to emergencies as mandated by the Civil Contingencies Act and the NHS England EPRR Framework 2022.

Key responsibilities include developing EPRR systems and policies, collaborating with Local Resilience Forums (LRF) and health partners, and delivering training to enhance resilience across the health system. The officer will also take part in the Incident Coordination Centre during health emergencies and advise on improvements based on incident reports. Overall, this role is essential for maintaining the preparedness and response capabilities of health services in the region.
