The Patient Pathway Administrator at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in Stanmore will be responsible for delivering a patient-centered reception and booking service within the imaging and centralized booking office. This multifaceted role involves regular rotation between front-of-house and back-office tasks, demanding high levels of face-to-face interaction with patients. The administrator will need to make independent, patient-related decisions while managing appointments and referrals within statutory waiting times, including urgent and cancer cases.

Key responsibilities include processing and scheduling referrals accurately on Trust information systems, coordinating with various clinic and non-clinical staff, and addressing patient inquiries through efficient telephone services. The post holder will also advise ward staff regarding patient preparations for procedures and ensure timely vetting of all referrals. Overall, the role is essential for facilitating the effective management of waiting lists and appointment systems within the hospital.
