Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Community Learning Disability Nurse to join their dynamic community team focused on providing specialized assessments and interventions for children and young people with Learning Disabilities, along with support for their families and carers. Candidates must be Registered Nurses (Learning Disability) with a valid driving license, and will be responsible for carrying out specialist assessments, delivering interventions, and advising service users and agencies to enhance resilience. The role also involves senior nurse responsibilities, including being the duty nurse and supervising junior staff.

The successful applicant will promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people, aiming to facilitate their inclusion in school and family life. Collaboration with parents, carers, local authorities, and other health professionals is essential, fostering early support for families. Preferred candidates will have or be willing to develop skills in areas such as positive behaviour support, sleep management, and continence, and demonstrate experience in supervising junior staff.
