This is an exciting new post to support training and development of trainees and clinicians within Psychology in Healthcare at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals trust. We have strong working relationships with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly supervise trainees. There is scope to offer supervision and training and to develop a broader offer to develop psychologically informed care in the hospital. You will join a friendly and innovative department where you will find a strong, compassionate team.
You will be expected to quickly build robust working relationships across the department and with the local clinical psychology training courses, to strengthen and grow our training offer. You will need to have experience of teaching and supervising and you will need to have a strong awareness of both national health service and academic requirements for the psychological professions. As this is a new post, the requirements and tasks will evolve over time.
About usPlease note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
