The Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Senior Clinical Coder to join their Clinical Coding department on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours). The role requires a candidate with ACC accreditation and expertise in ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications, along with a solid understanding of national clinical coding standards across various specialties. The ideal applicant should exhibit a forward-thinking attitude, be comfortable with digital workflows, and demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy.

In this position, the Senior Clinical Coder will be responsible for producing accurate and timely clinical coded data to meet the Trust's information needs, while ensuring adherence to established coding rules and conventions. The role also involves mentoring trainee coders, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to enhance awareness of clinical coding, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department during a period of transformation.
