The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Radiotherapy Physicist to join its Medical Physics team within the Oncology Department. This role involves providing clinical scientific services, including patient radiotherapy treatment planning, advising clinical staff on radiation physics, measuring doses received by patients, and ensuring the safety and efficacy of radiotherapy equipment. The position requires participation in routine tasks such as dosimetry and brachytherapy, with a strong emphasis on health and safety compliance.

Candidates must be HCPC registered clinical scientists or enrolled in a formal training program to achieve registration by October 2025. Those appointed prior to registration will receive a reduced salary in accordance with NHS guidelines until they obtain their HCPC registration. The successful applicant will be responsible for various operator duties under the IRMER (2024) regulations and contribute to maintaining a high-quality service for patients and healthcare teams.
