NHS AfC: Band 8c The Cavendish Square Group (CSG) is seeking an experienced and highly self-motivated programme manager with the skills, commitment and ambition to drive forward this work. This high-profile role is ideal for someone who is looking to take their career to the next level by working directly with London's leading NHS Chief Executives at a time of unprecedented change. The successful individual will be a skilled political operator and must have a proven track record of delivery. To be successful in this role the candidate must be comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity. They must be a self-starter who is confident, has vision and the ability to bring people together from all parts of the mental health system to deliver on shared goals. The candidate will represent the CSG and the interest of its members to senior individuals and groups within the NHS and beyond. They will not only lead the delivery of programmes and projects by galvanising support within individual organisations but will also support identification and development of future strategy and priorities. The Programme Manager will have a critical role in supporting the CSG to be the voice of mental health providers in London and drive genuine change in the capital. Development of the CSG 5-year strategy and implementation plan. Coordination and oversight of all CSG activities. Project managing a number of concurrent projects. This will include developing and delivering plans, managing risks and issues and reporting on progress. Developing the profile and reputation of the group, identifying and taking forward opportunities to increase the groups influence. Representing the group to various stakeholders, able to accurately represent views and influence others on the priorities of the group. Able to take information and outcomes of discussions to create clear and cohesive messages. Re-organise groups and arrangements as necessary to ensure it is maximally effective at delivering on priorities. Connecting CSG links to service user groups across the capital to support programme development Organising, planning for, supporting and then taking forward actions from a range of meetings (using the support of the administrator where appropriate). Developing and implementing a communication strategy including website development and maintenance and social media strategy development End to end event planning, including both logistics and content. Managing the CSG budget, ensuring best use and value for money as well as reporting and oversight. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the role and/or band as required by business need, not specified in the job description. Work together on prevention, inequalities and the life expectancy gap of people with mental health illness with a key focus on CYP and Urgent and Emergency Care. Take a collective view on important strategic and operational aspects of mental health services Share knowledge and best practice across mental health providers, supporting and learning from shared challenges Focus on the shared interests of our population where it adds value and makes sense. The key priorities for CSG are: Prevention, inequalities, closing the life expectancy gap of people with MH illness as overarching principles Children and Young People, and the Urgent and Emergency Care Pathway are a core focus for 2023 The CSG has been meeting together for over 20 years and is now seeking to reset their strategy and focus on longer term, sustainable areas that will make an improvement to the services they deliver to the benefit of the populations they serve.
