The role involves working autonomously to provide a community pediatric audiology service, conducting hearing assessments, and monitoring children with sensory-neural hearing loss. The audiologist will collaborate with various health professionals, support parents and caregivers, and engage in evidence-based audits and research to improve clinical practices.

Additionally, the role demands excellent communication skills to sensitively discuss health issues with children and families, maintain accurate records, and participate in multi-disciplinary team efforts.
