The Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia position at Harefield Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, involves providing anaesthesia for cardiac and thoracic surgeries, as well as care in the Intensive Therapy Unit. The role includes anaesthesia cover in specialized procedures and support for patients undergoing advanced mechanical support and transplantation programs. It is aimed at NTN holders in their 4th or 5th year of training interested in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care, although other qualified candidates may also be considered.

This highly specialized role requires a minimum of four months of prior experience in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, with the opportunity to extend the initial six-month contract to up to 24 months based on performance. Responsibilities include participating in preoperative assessments, intraoperative care, and postoperative management, with possible involvement in the transplant retrieval team and opportunities for research. Fellows will also be engaged in adult intensive care duties and teaching programs during their rotation.
