The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Advanced Specialist Pharmacist for Elderly Care & Frailty in Luton. This role involves leading the pharmacy team in providing comprehensive medicines optimisation within the Elderly Care & Frailty Clinical Service Line, ensuring safe discharge procedures and continuity of care in collaboration with various healthcare teams, including Integrated Discharge Teams and community pharmacies. The successful candidate will supervise junior pharmacists, deliver specialized patient care, and support the Principal Pharmacist in managing clinical governance and financial responsibilities, while also playing a vital role in clinical pharmacy audits and practice research to enhance patient safety and care.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor/Master of Pharmacy degree, be GPhC registered, and ideally hold a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy along with an independent prescribing qualification. Essential experience includes delivering clinical services to elderly patients, influencing multidisciplinary teams, engaging in research and audit, and managing projects and staff.
