The role of Junior Sister/Charge Nurse at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust involves overseeing patient care within the ward, supporting the Senior Sister while demonstrating strong leadership qualities. Candidates will be expected to possess excellent clinical skills, knowledge, and effective communication abilities, all while maintaining high standards of care. The successful applicant will also serve as a role model, inspiring and motivating the team, and will be responsible for various managerial duties including roster management, sickness and performance management, and conducting clinical audits to drive improvements in care quality.

Full and part-time positions are available, with training and development opportunities offered in both clinical practice and leadership. The role includes providing guidance and support to junior staff and learners, ensuring they deliver high-quality care.
