The UK Health Security Agency is seeking two Senior Scientists to join their Travel Health and International Health Regulations (IHR) team in London. This team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health of UK travelers through surveillance, research, and communication with international bodies such as the WHO and the European Commission. The successful candidates will manage international communications, oversee data analysis and scientific advice, produce publications, and contribute to policy development while ensuring timely responses to public health events and travel-associated illness.

In addition to supporting IHR operations and national surveillance of travel-related health risks, the Senior Scientists will be responsible for the development of surveillance initiatives and public health responses to international outbreaks. Collaboration with other teams and stakeholders will be key, as will the ability to manage scientific staff and contribute to the teaching and training of colleagues. The role offers hybrid working opportunities, requiring a minimum of 60% of contractual hours spent on-site, and successful candidates must pass security vetting.
