The UHB pharmacy department in collaboration with Women's and Children's services have an opportunity to apply for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist role at UHB. We are seeking a pharmacist experienced in Paediatrics and/or Maternity services who will lead our fantastic W&C pharmacy team and develop the clinic service it currently provides. Those wishing to expand their role or wishing to move to a Tertiary hospital setting would be welcome to apply.

This new role will work across the two of our sites supported by two Specialist Pharmacists in Paediatrics and Neonates, two Senior Support Pharmacists, a clinical support rotational pharmacist and a Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Technician to be the strategic lead to the service reporting to the clinical OPS leads.

This role will require strategic leadership and management responsibility for the ongoing development and sustainability of a high quality, innovative clinical service to support the Women's and Children's service provision across the UHB sites.

The role will suit an individual with a proven track record of delivering advanced care service within pharmacy in the healthcare setting. Someone who is an expert in Paediatric and Neonates medicine, keen to adopt novel approaches and be recognised nationally through input beyond the organisation to local (with other Trusts and relevant regional networks) and national strategic levels.

The Advanced Clinical Pharmacist -- Women's and Children's services will have overall responsibility for managing, leading, risk management, medicines optimisation monitoring and clinical audit.

The role's strategic aims will include:

*To identify, prioritise and contribute to the development of innovative services within the Trust and manage the change process required to achieve them.

*To ensure that issues concerning pharmaceutical care are appropriately presented to the speciality and produce business plans to advance the service.

*To drive pharmacy research opportunities as an expert in the speciality.

*To support the delivery of a robust education programme relating to pharmaceutical aspects of Paediatric and Neonatal Medicine for all Trust staff both clinical and non-clinical.
