The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for the Surgical Pre-assessment Team in The Sandringham Unit, offering a part-time role of 19 hours per week, specifically on Wednesdays and Fridays from 08:00 to 18:00. The ideal candidate should have previous surgical experience and familiarity with the elective pathway. The position involves conducting triage of patient questionnaires and pre-assessments for elective procedures at both The Arthur Levin Day Surgery Centre and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Responsibilities include history-taking to evaluate patient fitness for surgery, identifying risk factors, facilitating virtual pre-assessment clinics, and performing clinical investigations such as blood tests and ECGs.

Additionally, the Staff Nurse will work collaboratively with medical and anaesthetic teams to ensure patients are optimally prepared for surgery, thereby reducing cancellations on the day of surgery.
