The primary focus is on the early recognition of patient deterioration and timely escalation of care while fostering the development of critical care nursing skills within the Trust. The position includes responsibilities such as coordinating care for critically ill patients, conducting advanced health assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing the discharge process for patients transitioning from critical care to wards.

Candidates must demonstrate highly developed communication skills to provide quality service and resolve unexpected events.
