Focus on developing expert autonomous clinical practice in integrated sexual health services, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC).

Provide CIC is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Integrated Sexual Health Nurse Specialist for the West Essex Sexual Health Team in Harlow. This substantive role is open to qualified band 6 nurses or experienced band 5 nurses on a development pathway. Candidates must hold a current ENB 901 or equivalent qualification, and will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality sexual health and contraceptive services, including LARC (Long-Acting Reversible Contraception). Key responsibilities include clinical supervision of support workers, managing daily clinic operations, engaging in service development initiatives, and ensuring effective communication with service users and colleagues.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of sexual health issues, safeguarding, and assessment practices, while demonstrating a commitment to evidence-based care. The role also emphasises the development of clinical management and supervision skills, with a focus on fostering expert autonomous practice. Additionally, the post holder will work toward achieving Non-Medical Prescribing status, ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and patients in the clinic setting.
