The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Health Innovation Network at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust will lead the organisation in achieving its strategic ambitions and business plan, primarily through remote collaboration. The COO will oversee the execution of the Network Business Plan, manage the Senior Leadership Team, and ensure a high standard of performance in national program delivery, innovation pipeline development, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires effective leadership to foster a productive workplace culture, maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, and support local health innovation networks in meeting strategic objectives.

In addition to operational management and governance oversight, the COO will be responsible for financial management, including negotiating funding agreements with local networks and managing budgets. The position emphasises the importance of developing the Network's capabilities and fostering a high-performing team culture to maximize impact and reputation while ensuring the wellbeing and development of staff members. The COO will act as a strategic point of contact for national engagement, furthering the Health Innovation Network's mission to transform lives through innovation.
