The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist in General Medicine, Endocrine, and Diabetes to enhance their leadership and clinical skills within a dynamic team. Key responsibilities include supporting general medicine wards through ward round participation for medication optimisation, training and mentoring junior and trainee pharmacists, and engaging in governance activities to address pharmaceutical concerns. The role also involves analyzing expenditure reports and contributing to cost improvement strategies, making it an integral position for advancing patient care and pharmacy practices in this specialized area.

Supporting the clinical service to the general medicine wards at UHNM including ward round attendance to facilitate medicines optimisation.
Training and development of rotational junior and trainee pharmacists in general medicine
Reviewing adverse incident reports, attending governance meetings and educating medical and nursing teams on pharmaceutical issues
Reviewing expenditure reports and developing cost improvement initiatives
