The Lead for People Development at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will play a crucial role in shaping the careers of staff and enhancing their overall experience within the organisation. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Head of Education and People Development and external education partners, to develop and implement programs focused on career advancement, particularly through apprenticeships and evidence-based learning initiatives. This role involves managing teams dedicated to education, leadership development, and workforce training, as well as ensuring that all interventions align with the Trust's strategic priorities.

The Lead will also conduct a thorough review of current services, enhance apprenticeship offerings, and spearhead the implementation of a comprehensive career pathway strategy to address workforce shortages. Responsibilities include overseeing high-quality placements for students, managing apprenticeship funding, and leading efforts in coaching and mentoring development across the Trust. Additionally, this role entails evaluating the impact of educational provisions, monitoring key performance indicators, and reporting progress to senior leadership, ultimately fostering a motivated and skilled workforce committed to delivering exceptional care.
