Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year per annum, pro rata  FIXED TERM

Specialised Pelvic Health Physiotherapist - Fixed Term

Applications are invited for this specialised Pelvic Health Band 6 post from experienced and enthusiastic HCPC registered physiotherapists with the relevant clinical experience.

The post of a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist would ideally suit a fully qualified member of POGP or someone who is looking to complete their postgraduate training. The post will be primarily based at the Conquest but this is a cross site working contract that will support cover across the acute & community sites within the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as required.

The ideal candidate should be able to work skilfully and independently in all aspects of Pelvic Health i.e. uro-gynae surgery, urology, obstetric in & out patient care, incontinence, bowel and gynae dysfunction clinics, and will be competent in teaching antenatal & postnatal classes. Knowledge of MSK out patients and general surgery would be a necessary skillset for the successful applicant.

In this role, the post holder will undertake specialist pelvic health clinical physiotherapy working to a B6 competency framework, and enhancing your expertise within ante and post-natal care, urology, gynaecology, surgical and obstetric wards; and continence treatment pathways.

The post holder will provide clinical support both within the Pelvic Health and MSK services, as well as working as part of a wider MDT in the above pathways of care in the Trust.

You will work with the Pelvic Health Band 7 to support service development and training, helping to implement policy and policy changes, collecting outcomes to support service reporting and audit, and to ensure the service delivers current best evidence in practice.

The trust actively encourages personal development & you will be expected to engage in reflective practice & independent CPD as well as taking advantage of any Trust initiatives & opportunities.

We have close links with the local School of Healthcare Professions at the University of Brighton & other universities & participate in the delivery of Pelvic Health awareness sessions to undergraduate students.
