The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and proactive Consultant Cardiologist with a focus on Heart Failure and Pacing to join their team in Peterborough. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered cardiology services across Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital. The successful candidate will lead the development of the Heart Failure Hub and the complex pacing service, supported by a team of 12 cardiology consultants and specialists. Responsibilities include delivering heart failure services, contributing to general cardiology, performing pacemaker implantations, and participating in various multidisciplinary team and governance activities.

Candidates can expect a job plan featuring 10 programmed activities, with emphasis on direct clinical care and opportunities for professional development, including teaching and training junior staff. The position entails participation in a 1:7 weekend consultant rota and is open to flexible working arrangements. Mentorship and support will be provided, and travel between hospital sites will be reimbursed.
