The role of Speech and Language Therapist in the Mainstream Schools Team with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is aimed at recently qualified or soon-to-be-qualified individuals who are passionate about working in mainstream school settings. Based in Hillingdon, the position involves assessing and providing therapy to children with various speech, language, and communication needs, including developmental language disorder, speech sound disorders, and autism. The therapist will work collaboratively with children, teaching staff, and parents, offering training and support, while maintaining a flexible schedule in partnership with the school's SENCO.

The role emphasises the importance of safeguarding vulnerable children, contributing to clinical groups for service development, and engaging in quality governance and audits to meet performance indicators. The therapist will also be responsible for writing assessments and reports, ensuring effective interventions, and fostering a supportive and collaborative environment through regular peer meetings and supervision.
