The Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Haematologist to join their expanding team in Gloucester, offering a £15K recruitment and retention package. The successful candidate will work within a well-established group of nine consultants, contributing to a comprehensive range of diagnostic and clinical haematology services, including inpatient care at BCSH Level 3. Ideal applicants should possess a sub-specialist interest, particularly in haemostasis and thrombosis, to enhance the department's specialist pathways. Opportunities for professional development exist in a JACIE-accredited environment, supported by a strong nursing team and an active cancer clinical trials research group.

The role involves providing high-quality care to patients with haematological disorders, contributing to both diagnostic and teaching responsibilities. The post-holder will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners and other hospital clinicians, while also participating in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. The position is available at 10 PAs per week, with shared on-call commitments, and flexible working arrangements are encouraged. Active participation in clinical research is supported, along with ongoing professional development through a robust mentoring scheme for new consultants.
