The Training Programme Director for Urology in Manchester will work closely with the Head of the School of Surgery to enhance the strategic development and operational functions of the School. The role involves leading the development of a Recruitment and Retention Strategy for Urology trainees, contributing to the operational programs, and ensuring effective assessment and support systems for trainees. The position is a three-year secondment, extendable for up to three years, and requires collaboration with the School Board to promote shared learning and inter-professional working.

The incumbent will provide expert guidance on specialty-specific matters, support the implementation of a Medical Workforce Strategy aimed at improving regional education programs, and lead various work programs for the School of Surgery. Candidates applying from within the NHS must secure prior agreement from their current employer for the secondment.

The Training Programme Director in Urology (NW) will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the School of Surgery.
The post holder will lead on the development of the School's Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
The post holder will be a member of the School Board.
Please note this is a 3-year secondment extendabletoa maximum of three years, subject to mutual agreement.

Work in collaboration with Head of School of Surgery to develop and implement a Medical Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Urology Trainees with focus on the regional education programs.
