The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Pharmacy Services at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers individuals the opportunity to gain essential skills and knowledge to become a Pharmacy Assistant. This 15-month apprenticeship includes practical in-house training and a Level 2 Specialist BTEC in The Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Support Staff. Apprentices will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist and alongside Pharmacy Technicians, engaging in various duties such as unpacking deliveries, managing medicine stocks, supporting pharmacy reception tasks, and using the pharmacy computer system.

Candidates should possess good attention to detail, a team-oriented mindset, and effective communication skills. A minimum of 4 GCSEs of grade 3 or above is preferred, but support for functional skills is available. Additionally, the role includes committing to training, adhering to health and safety regulations, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
