Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive
Healthcare Assistant (HCA)
to join our ENT clinic team. In this essential role, you will provide vital support to both patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality care and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including mobility, dressing, and hygiene, while maintaining their comfort and dignity.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, and report significant changes to nursing staff.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for ENT assessments.
- Support healthcare professionals during procedures by positioning patients and providing instruments as needed.
- Provide information and reassurance to patients about their appointments and any procedures they may undergo.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observations, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with nurses, audiologists, and ENT consultants to facilitate smooth patient flow and care.

Patient Care

Vital Signs Monitoring
: Measure and record patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.
Preparation for Appointments
: Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for ENT assessments.
Assisting with Procedures
: Support healthcare professionals during procedures by positioning patients, providing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Patient Education
: Provide information and reassurance to patients about their appointments and any procedures they may undergo, helping to alleviate anxiety.
Collaboration with the Healthcare Team
: Work closely with nurses, audiologists, and ENT consultants to ensure a seamless flow of patient care and communication.
Post-Appointment Care
: Assist patients in the recovery area after procedures, monitoring their condition and providing any necessary support.
