South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint six Specialty Doctors (SHO) for a fixed-term position in the Emergency Department, starting from February 5, 2025, to February 4, 2026. The role requires candidates with an MB BS or equivalent qualification, GMC registration, and at least one year of experience at the Foundation Year 1 level. The successful candidates will be part of a collaborative team of five consultants, six middle-grade doctors, and fifteen junior doctors, providing comprehensive acute care to a population of approximately 155,000 in South Tyneside.

The position involves rotating duties within the Emergency Department, including patient admissions and clinical attendance as per the rota, while also managing emergencies when required.
