The Radiotherapy Treatment Coordinator (XR02) at Leeds Teaching Hospitals will facilitate the planning and delivery of radiotherapy treatments by managing administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient transport coordination, and maintaining clinical supplies. The role also involves direct patient support, including assisting with dressing, personal care, and providing information about the radiotherapy process. Additionally, the coordinator will serve as a unit receptionist, handle patient records, and ensure compliance with health and safety and infection control policies.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, many of whom may be vulnerable, and work collaboratively with hospital staff. The position requires a blend of physical, mental, and emotional effort, given the nature of patient interactions and the need to maintain accurate administrative processes amidst a dynamic and nurturing healthcare environment.
