The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dynamic and committed Teaching Fellows in Surgical Specialties (equivalent to ST1-2) to support undergraduate medical education for Newcastle University students. Ideal candidates should have completed Foundation Training and/or Core Training, possess full GMC registration, and have at least two years of NHS experience by August 2025. The role involves delivering high-quality clinical teaching sessions, developing and evaluating courses, and engaging in various clinical activities relevant to specific specialties, with teaching time allocation ranging from 30% to 50%.

Teaching Fellows will be supported in their educational development, with opportunities to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education. The position includes responsibilities for clinical duties, potential on-call commitments, and administrative tasks. Successful applicants are encouraged to engage in educational activities and research/audit projects within the thriving medical education department.
