The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist for an 18-hour per week position due to team hour reductions. The role involves providing specialist palliative care support and advice to patients, triaging referrals, reviewing inpatients, and coordinating with hospice and community services. Candidates should possess advanced clinical skills in palliative and end-of-life care, alongside excellent communication abilities, particularly in delivering sensitive information. The position requires weekend work on a rota basis and the ability to travel between The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
