This exciting is post is being advertised as a permanent 0.7 WTE (26.25 hours per week) with a temporary uplift to 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours per week), the duration of this is not known at present.

The Paediatric Occupational Therapy service benefits from a range of clinical specialities across acute, community, specialist, tertiary and special schools.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the paediatric Occupational Therapy team based at Noah' s Ark Children's Hospital for Wales. The post holder will be required to work across all specialites within the children's hospital. You will support the team in creating and embedding new innovations to support efficient and effective service delivery. You will work with the team to ensure the workforce gains the right knowledge and experience to create a sustainable service for the future.
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with excellent communication skills to work as part of our team.
The post holder will be required to have knowledge and skills in the development of children and young people. They will need to understand how to support CYP to gain the skills required to participate and engage in occupations.
You will have opportunity to consolidate clinical skills, build experience and invest in quality improvement developments.All Band 6 positions will be supported with induction/training and supervision. You will be supported in your development underpinned by the RCOT Pillars of Practice and Cardiff and Vale Occupational Therapy Strategy. You will deliver occupationally focused practice, delivering outcomes that matter to people using evidence based practice and research.Opportunities for development of supervisory skills will be available and engagement in service development/improvement projects and role promotion encouraged. A seven-day service is delivered in some services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
