New Horizons Medical Partnership is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join their supportive nursing team in Totton, Southampton, with responsibilities split between Totton Health Centre and Forest Gate Surgery. The role requires 24 hours of work per week on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and the candidate should possess an understanding of wound care, proficiency in phlebotomy, and preferably an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a Care Certificate, with training offered for the right individual.

Key duties include collecting blood samples, managing wound care, conducting health checks, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The Health Care Assistant will also support health promotion initiatives, recognize signs of abuse, manage inventory, and collaborate effectively with the nursing team and other healthcare staff. Strong administrative and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with Microsoft applications and healthcare IT systems will be advantageous.
