This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare offers an exciting opportunity to join a compassionate and dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to residents. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe, caring, and inclusive environment, while also contributing to the personal development of the care team.
As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be on supporting the Care team in delivering high standards of personal care, monitoring resident wellbeing, and implementing person-centred care plans. You will be responsible for tasks such as medication support, staff supervision, and liaising with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, 2 years' experience in a similar environment, and the ability to communicate effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
- Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
- Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
