We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join the microbiology team based at Singleton Hospital. Candidates will need to be enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative, with good organisational and practical abilities supported by scientific knowledge. Have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to lead and support individual and team working.

Being flexible, self-motivated and with good practical skills will be fundamental to your role. You will use your knowledge and skills as a Biomedical Scientist to contribute to a robust and fully operational system within the department. You will assist in building a strong team and support the Senior Biomedical Scientists to enable continual improvements in the department and throughout the Microbiology Network. An understanding of good laboratory practice and ISO15189 quality management is desirable. The post holder will support the provision of a 24/7 service in accordance with a published rota.
The post holder will be the Bacteriology Health and safety lead working together with the network Health and safety team.Our team offers a varied, challenging and rewarding work environment, with the opportunity to be at the forefront of Microbiology in Wales.
