The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker for the Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Norbury House, St George's Hospital, Stafford. In this role, you will provide therapeutic support to service users with mental health needs, promoting their recovery through high-quality, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include collaborating with Registered Professionals to implement individualised care plans, reporting on health statuses, and participating in multi-disciplinary team discussions, including those related to section 136 assessments and ECT treatment.

Norbury House is a locked unit with eleven beds designated for male patients requiring intensive care due to complex mental health challenges. The Trust emphasises personal and professional development, offering opportunities to share best practices within and beyond the organisation. The position involves shift work to ensure 24/7 coverage, and candidates with previous experience in health care support, either in the NHS or private sector, are encouraged to apply.
