Walnut Medical Centre in Leicester is seeking a Practice Nurse to join their supportive and innovative team. The ideal candidate should have completed training in vaccinations and cervical smears, with additional experience in chronic disease management, particularly diabetes and travel vaccinations, being advantageous. The practice is known for its high performance, evidenced by a strong QOF achievement and a CQC rating of Good in all areas.

The role offers part-time hours with flexibility, generally aiming for around 24 hours per week, which can be adjusted through mutual agreement. The salary is competitive and negotiable, ranging from £25 to £30 per hour, plus a pension. While experience in General Practice is preferred, training can be provided for standard nursing duties, making it suitable for both experienced and early-stage nurses looking to enhance their skills.

Completed training in vaccinations and cervical smears is essential with additional skills in chronic disease management an advantage.

We are a high performing practice with high QOF achievement and rated CQC Good in all areas . The role allows part time working and has some flexibility in the hours worked and will allow the candidate to maintain an effective work life balance.

Hours can be discussed but we are aiming for around 24 hours per week or over although this can be increased or decreased by mutual agreement /discussion

SALARY Competitive and open to negotiation plus pension and range from £25 to £30 per hour plus pension depending on experience

We are looking for a practice nurse within a practice with some experience of General Practice and in particular able or looking to undertake Immunisations and Smears with other standard duties of a practice nurse from day one.
