Stort Valley Healthcare is seeking newly qualified, enthusiastic GPs to join their primary care network in Bishop's Stortford on a fixed-term contract until March 31, 2025, with potential for extension based on funding. The role offers flexibility for candidates to apply for between 4 to 9 sessions, with a start date as soon as possible. Responsibilities include conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations, patient home visits, handling repeat prescriptions, managing clinical administration, and overseeing the overall care and treatment of patients in accordance with existing protocols.

Following the addition of GPs to the Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), Stort Valley Healthcare are looking for newly qualified (within 2 years and not having had a substantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GPs to join our primary care network on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. There is the possibility for an extension subject to funding. We will consider applications for between 4 and 9 sessions with a start date as soon as possible.
- Face to face and telephone consultations.
- Patient Home visits and Care Home visits.
- Checking and signing repeat prescriptions.
- Administration-dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters NHS/private, task, emails and other paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Cover all the clinical management of patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate.
- Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols as well wider guidance such as that from NICE.
