Health Services Laboratories is seeking a Biomedical Scientist (BMS) for their Haematology & Blood Transfusion Department in Watford. The position is integral to the new Pathology services program that will commence on March 1, 2025, and includes responsibilities at the newly established hub laboratory at 7 Croxley Park. The role involves both laboratory bench work and multidisciplinary collaboration, including performing routine haematological diagnostics and ensuring high-quality pathology service delivery. Candidates will be expected to hold an approved undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science, be registered with the HCPC, and participate in a 24/7 shift rotation.

The successful candidate will actively engage in sample analysis, equipment maintenance, result interpretation, and communication with healthcare professionals. They will also maintain compliance with operational procedures, assist in quality control, and support accreditation processes while continuously seeking to improve service excellence and personal development. Previous laboratory experience is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
