Community Team Lead Midwife
We have an exciting opportunity to work within our community midwifery team as a team lead. The successful applicant will be required to provide management and leadership to a team of community staff, which includes midwives as well as support staff. The post will include caring for a defined caseload of women within the Berkshire area.
To provide clinical and managerial leadership on a continuous basis, working in partnership with colleagues across the directorate with specific managerial responsibility for a team of midwives and maternity support workers.
To be responsible for co ordinating, delivering and maintaining a high standard of day to day evidence based practice for all women in the designated clinical area/caseload
To be responsible for identifying gaps in areas of service provision and develop strategies to address areas of deficit.
To act as a role model by displaying excellent communication and leadership skills and take responsibility for the day to day line management of the community team.
To partake in coordinating the daily activity of the community midwifery service.
